The city is home to Lake Lowell and the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, as well as the Ford Idaho Center, a venue for concerts and the Snake River Stampede rodeo.
Home options in Nampa range from established neighborhoods close to the center of town to newer subdivisions, along with properties on bigger lots near Lake Lowell and around the outskirts.
Larger lots are simpler to come by than in Ada County, and prices there tend to run higher than in Nampa.
Prices in Canyon County have historically been lower than in Ada County, and Nampa sits a little farther from Boise, so buyers frequently end up with more home or land for what they spend.
